We used to play a 50+ person Texas Hold'em poker tournament each month. It's starting back up again.

Where will everyone sit?

People keep asking, even after seeing the place, where will the players sit? Or maybe they ask because they have seen the place.

I just did some measuring in anticipation of tonight's Big Reston Poker game. We can actually fit five tables in the big room, though it will be crowded. The room with the big table will hold another table, for a total of two poker tables. The admin area where the chips are kept will hold one or two tables. And there is a table in another room. That is 5+2+2+1=10 tables, or about 80 people. And I think I found a spot we can put another table on top of this. So, we are not hurting for room at all. We have had more than 50 players in the past. There is no reason why we cannot have more.

$20 Texas Hold'em Poker Tournament

Last night, Friday, Norman had a single table $20 buy-in poker tournament. I didn't find out about it until a few minutes before it started. He wants to have another one soon, maybe on Sunday evening at 7:30. If you are on the list I'll send you an email. Seats are very limited, so reserve yours quick.

September Tournament in Two Weeks

With two weeks to go until the September tournament, we have 38 people who have requested a seat in the tournament. We still have plenty of room and are expecting 50 to 75 players.

This tournament is a month and three days from when the original Evite was sent out. I hope this is enough advance notice for everyone.

Norman is going to add more seats to this game. Rather than being limited to 50 players, he is going to allow 75 or more. I'll keep you updated.

This is a no limit Texas Hold'em poker tournament. The buy-in is $100. We have about 75 seats available.

Doors will open at 5:00, the game starts promptly at 6PM. Please be registered and in your seats by 5:45. We are asking people to bring drinks and snacks to share, like a pot luck type meal.

The blinds and antes are based on WSOP structures and are similar to our previous Reston games. The blinds last 30 minutes each, and the game is expected to last just a tad over six hours. Well, six hours for the winner - your game may be shorter. This is a freezeout - no rebuys.

Please respond to the Evite if you have not done so. If you need the address, please hit reply in the Evite and ask. We do not post the address on the web or send it with the invitations.
